MMP-WordPress Single Sign-On is a service operated by Member Minder Pro, LLC that lets people sign in to participating WordPress websites we host — our customers’ and our own — using their existing Google account instead of a separate username and password. It applies only to WordPress websites where the “Sign in with Google” option appears; other websites and services hosted by Member Minder Pro are not part of this service.
What it does
When you choose “Sign in with Google” on a participating website, this service confirms your identity with Google and returns you to the website you started from.
- If a WordPress account already exists for your verified Google email address on that website, your Google account is linked to it and you are signed in. Your existing account, and everything about it, stays exactly as it was.
- If no account exists, a basic subscriber account may be created for you — but only when the verified email address on your Google account belongs to the same domain as the website you are signing in to.
- Otherwise, sign-in is declined and the website’s normal login remains available.
Each website’s own membership rules always determine who may access it.
What information it uses
MMP-WordPress Single Sign-On receives only the basic profile information Google provides at sign-in:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile picture
It does not request or receive access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar, files, or any other Google data. Sign-in information is used solely to authenticate you to the website you are signing in to and is never sold or shared with third parties.
